Union de Dos Culturas

Commissioned in 1993 after a chance meeting in Houston, this monumental work includes historical figures from both the United States and Mexico spanning 500 years. The painting was unveiled publicly before being honored at Houston City Hall and later shipped to Guadalajara. Turner presents history not as conflict alone, but as intertwined cultural legacy. The work stands as a meditation on shared ancestry and consequence.
